Look at these Rosy Rosé Spritzers for Wine Not Wednesday! Aren't they pretty in pink!? You will not believe how easy it is to toss these spritzers together, and how delicious the rose infuses with the wine to make a beautiful and delicious summer spritzer.
All you need for this recipe is:
One bottle dry rosé
1-2 fresh roses (I used pink and red)
splash rose extract
sparkling water
dried rose petals to sprinkle
You don't need to stop and smell the roses to know that I'm completely obsessed with rose flavour! I've added it to my infused water, almond milk, and now these rosé spritzers. Actually, in full disclosure, the idea for this rose infused rosé came from my Orange and Rose Infused Water, because a few of you thought it was actually rose infused wine; so cheers to you for the inspiration. ;)
Let me be the first to say that adding rose to water or wine is an absolute delight. I love the flavour and scent the rose offers. It's fresh and floral, and gives such a calming sensation with every sip and swallow. Close your eyes and imagine sipping this Rosé Spritzer in a beautiful English garden somewhere. It's a perfect depiction of how these rosé spritzers make me feel; full of complete bliss, beauty, and tranquility.
And it's not difficult to turn this dream into a reality by making these Rosy Rosé Spritzers for a picnic or garden party. I mean, imagine your guests delight when you hand them one of these pink floral drinks. Not only are they tasty, but they are beaaauuutiful! There's absolutely no way you could hand someone this spritzer and them not be blown away. Step aside Martha Stewart - there is a new hostess with the mostess in town! Although the 5-minute prep time to create these pretty spritzers does not suffice to the glowing praise they receive.
But easy prep is much appreciated mid-week, on humpback Wednesdays, when we need our quick fix! Or, when you're hosting a party and YOU have a bazillion other things to do! (It's not that we actually want to be Martha Stewart, we just want to allude to the idea that we are). So bring on the easy recipes and start popping and pouring that chilled rosé! It's rosé all day, baby.
I'll be at the park, soaking up that summer sun with glass in hand. Who wants to join?

Rosy Rosé Spritzers
Serves: 3 | Prep Time: 5 mins| Chill Time: 1-2 hours (chill time optional)
Ingredients:
1 bottle dry rosé, chilled
1-2 fresh rose petals (I used pink and red)
splash rose extract
3 pinches dried rose petals
sparkling water, chilled
ice
Directions:
Open bottle of rosé and divide between three jars. Add 5-10 rose petals to each jar and a splash rose extract to each. Next add a pinch dried rose petals to each jar. Cover with a lid and place in the fridge to infuse for 1-2 hours. Or, continue to step two. (Infusing the wine for a couple hours will allow the rose flavours to become more pronounced, but it's not necessary if you don't have time. You can continue on to Step 2)
Top up the jars of infused rosé with some ice and sparkling water. Serve.
