This Orange and Rose Infused Water OH MY! I can't think of anything more heavenly then pouring myself a glass of this pretty drink. Forget about going to the spa, it's been delivered to your door!
You might know that last week was a MAJOR heat wave in France. I literally couldn't move more than three steps without breaking into a vicious sweat. Even the heat off my keyboard would send me in fits of panic looking for every, and any, possible way to cool down. So, naturally it was necessary to fill the freezer with glacier amounts of ice, and drink up! But, we all know that water can be a little boring, and when you're drinking gallons of it just to get through the day we may as well make it delicious, don't ya think?
Introducing this refreshingly delicious Orange and Rose Infused Water. Which is exactly as it sounds: freshly cut orange, mixed with fresh rose leaves, filled with heaps of ice and water, and sprinkled with dried rose leaves. I'm telling you this water is heaven on earth! Picture the fanciest spa you've ever been to. Remember that water they served you while you lay back in your chair waiting for your foot rub? Yep, I'm talking this level of fancy water status. It made the recommended daily amount of water all too easy to drink. Even my mother, who has a thorny issue with drinking water, was requesting the rose kind down to the very last drop. (Get my pun there? I know I'm terrible...better I just leaf it). Good news for us is that this infused water can also be refilled 2-3 times and still offer the water delicious citrus and floral flavours, so don't fret when your loved ones are reaching for the last pour. There's plenty of goodness to go around.
Not to mention, this pretty drink takes all but 5 minutes to prepare. So if you're planning a backyard get together, a BBQ, or a day at the beach why not blow your guests away with this refreshing Orange and Rose Infused Water? Who said that water couldn't be the highlight of the feast?
I must give credit for this delicious drink idea where it's deserved; which would be to my foodie friend Bo at Bo's Kitchen. This talented gal had posted a tantalizing strawberry and rose infused ice water that had me swooning! Next thing I knew I was picking apart my birthday roses so fast you'd think I was Juliet yearning for her Romeo! Perhaps that was Juliet plan all along - to make a pitcher of rose water to win the heart of her star-crossed lover and his stubborn family. But what I am sure of is that this infused water was the perfect refresher for a hot summer day. A citrus floral delight much more deserved for royal stars like Juliet Capulet than that of a sweaty girl in a heat wave.
Now hand me a glass of that fancy spa water! Turns out we can have our roses, and drink them too. ;)
