Like coffee and donuts, this is a perfect pair. Cherry, Berry and Kiwi infused ice donuts in sparking water with fresh mint. It's a refreshing combo that helps beat the heat! No shame in dunking these donuts so I'll take a dozen!
But really, I love adding fruit-infused ice to my water because it makes it sooo much easier to drink! These fruit infused ice donuts are a medley of summer's best fruits. Not only do the ice donuts give your water a sweet fruity taste, but it keeps it cold at the same time making each sip so refreshing. Because let's be honest, there's nothing worse than drinking luke warm water in plus 30 degree weather. Oh right, did I mention it's sweltering here in France? My un-air conditioned apartment is getting hotter by the day as these old homes hold the heat like a sizzling pizza stone. It's so hot that walking from one room to the next feels like a 10k marathon. I'm dripping in sweat and the couch feels too much like the finish line. Hubby is currently travelling for work as well, and so it's highly probable that if I dropped dead of heat stroke nobody would find me for days. Just another reason why staying hydrated is key! I'll try avoiding the dramatic gestures until my audience has returned...
Actually, drinking more water has become a bit of a summer goal for me. I've been following Karena and Katrina's 8 week bikini series program on Tone it Up and they are super fans of drinking as much water as you can. I literally get weekly email notifications from them reminding to stay hydrated. Apparently you're supposed to divide your weight in half, and this is the number of ounces of water you should drink daily. I don't know whether it's a help or hamper because now every time I leave the house without my water bottle I go into a slight state of panic! I probably wouldn't be so fussed except they also mentioned drinking more water helps speed up your metabolism. And who would say NO to that!? Bottoms up baby! (I hope my bottom is listening!).
So as you can see it's for many reasons that drinking water has become my summer theme. And thank goodness I have these tasty fruit-infused ice donuts to make it so easy! I've dunked these ice donuts into sparkling water, and added fresh mint and more kiwi. Last time I made fruit-infused ice donuts I added the mint directly to the ice, but I recommend adding it straight to the water as mint doesn't thaw as well as its fruity friends.
I hope you'll join me in dunking these donuts by the dozen! Because there's no doubt we'll be getting our daily intake of water with this refreshing medley. Never has drinking water been so tasty.
Cheers to that!

Cherry, Berry, and Kiwi Fruit-Infused Ice Donuts
Makes: 6 donuts | Prep Time: 5 mins| Freeze Time: 1-2 hrs
Ingredients:
1/4 cup cherries
1/4 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 kiwi
filtered water
2-3 sprigs fresh mint (optional)
more kiwi (optional)
Directions:
Slice cherries in half and remove pits. Remove skin from kiwi and chop. Then, add sliced cherries, raspberries, and sliced kiwi to silicon donut moulds, or ice-cube tray, scattering some into each mould. (I used a 6-cavity silicon donut mould for this). Fill each mould with filtered water until 3/4's full. Place in freezer for 1-2 hours, or until completely solid.
When ready fill glasses with fresh mint, more chopped kiwi and sparkling water. Add 2-3 fruit infused ice donuts. Stir and serve.
