Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe it's 2017 already? I find that January always brings a whirlwind of feelings; having just celebrated the holidays wrapped in old-timey tradition, to being thwarted into discussions about career aspirations and New Year's resolutions! Eek! It can all be a bit overwhelming.
But at the same time, starting a new year is really awesome! It gives us the chance to reassess, reinvigorate and refresh, which is super important for our minds, body and health. Each year I like to start this mentality with FOOD (of course, hehe). Because I truly believe that clean eating can make a big difference on how we move through each day, and help us feel rejuvenated.
So in the spirit of clean eating I'd like to share this 7-Day Smoothie Bowl Challenge! To start January with healthy top of mind!
This year I've teamed up with Food Bloggers of Canada to bring you this 7-Day Smoothie Bowl Challenge!
So, how does it work?
Each day I'll share with you a nutritious and delicious smoothie bowl recipe to help you achieve a healthier 2017.
Where can I get the recipes?
You'll find the daily recipe every morning (PT time) from January 9-15 at Food Bloggers of Canada, or join me each day here on the blog and Instagram for the direct link. We'll also share our 7-Day Shopping List on Sunday January 8, so you can get everything you need to succeed! Tag #FBCigers and #FBCSmoothieChallenge to share your creations with us!
What can I expect?
Expect to find smoothie bowl recipes that are detoxifying, anti-oxidant packed, and nutrient dense. Each is a tasty blend that’s vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, and soy-free! These bowls were created to help detox, replenish, and let you glow! Some of these recipes will be familiar favourites, like the Purple Nourish Smoothie Bowl (too nutritious and delicious to forget), and others will be shiny and new for 2017! (Sorry, you'll have to wait to find out about these golden bowls - hint hint!).
I know that 365 days of healthy food choices is a lot to commit…but 7 days? We can all manage that! And these smoothie bowls will help put those healthy habits in place for the weeks and months that follow.
